I worked with Bob for approximately five years when I was a part-time instructor at Lake Forest College about five years ago. I worked full time at Great Lakes Naval Training Center as their Director of Training and later as the Director of the Human Performance Center. I had the honor of sharing interns with Bob over several summers, having him come to my aid when students who didn’t like the grades I gave them complained, and had him strongly defend my academic freedom. Bob was the teacher’s teacher. He was so comfortable doing what he did best, helping students achieve excellence. The world is a better place because of him. I will miss him very much. May you find comfort in the fact that he impacted so many lives, both students and everyone around him.
